Care Ministry at South Canyon Lutheran

Care Ministry consists of hospital calling, communion visits, friendship visits, attending ministry, respite care, and prayer shawl ministry.

Hospital Calling - Visiting members of our congregation who are in the hospital.

Communion Visits - Taking communion to members who are home bound and in nursing homes.

Friendship Visits - One on one visits with members who are home bound or in nursing homes.

Attending Ministry - Being a listening presence for someone experiencing loss, loneliness, or a difficult transition.

Respite Care - Providing a needed break for a caregiver by sitting with their loved one.

Prayer Shawl Ministry - Knitting shawls to be given to members in times of need.

Grief Support Group - Meets twice monthly.  Members of the group share grief stories and support each other through listening and prayer.

Care Giver Ministry - Once a month caregivers and their loved one's gather for lunch and fellowship.
